A long, low ranch house, a big barn, an even bigger corral and the wide-open grasslands- that’s Vekkel’s ranch. Vekkel himself is a hunter who retired after losing his leg to Tuskgutter, the monster boar of the Old Margreve. He raises horses to sell to passing caravans and is known for being one of the best horse doctors in the region. The ranch also serves as something as a house for wayward boys, as Vekkel takes in young men who need a place to stay and teaches them how to work a ranch, care for livestock, and the rudiments of conducting themselves in the wild. Vekkel’s boys are some of the best riders and horse archers from Restov to New Stetven, though Vekkel encourages them to keep to themselves.
