House Lebeda's Swan Knights

A hundred mounted soldiers under the command of Sir Jory Wythers, House Lebeda’s Swan Knights patrol the long road from Pază to Silverhall. Though based in Leveton, given the road’s length there are usually fewer than 10 Swan Knights in town at any one time.

They typically patrol in troops of 10. Heavily armored and armed with sword, lance, and shield, a group of 10 can deal with most threats to be found along the road. They can be found anywhere along the North Road from Pază to Leveton or the Swan Road from Leveton to Silverhall. Meant to be a proud show of Lebedan grace and wealth, the Swan Knights ride in brightly burnished armor with the House’s blue and orange colors on display.

In addition to their prime directive to keep the Road safe for trade, the Swan Knights are also dedicated to furthering House Lebeda’s influence and as such conduct themselves with a respectable generosity to the common folk. This policy has made them quite popular with those who live along the road. Stories along the roads have Lebedan Swan Knights helping stuck wagons out of the mud, heedless of their own finery, giving rides or food to people far from home with night coming on, and, of course, killing bandits wherever they prey on wagoneers or common folk.
